Hector Valle--1966
A reputed strong defensive catcher,
naturally Hector Valle would grab a bat
for his cardboard photo. The hind
snatcher would toss out just one for five
base stealers during his nine big league
games, though he wouldn’t commit an
error.  


Of course with a glove like that shown in
the cartoon on the back of his ’66 card, it
can be seen why he wouldn’t drop any
pitches.














Editor’s Note: Valle would rap out four
hits in 13 at-bats, good for a .308
average during his lone big league
action.
