Hal Smith--1958

Hal Smith is NOT messing around in his
1958 cardboard. Mask on and putting
down one finger while he asks his pitcher
to bring the
HEAT.

We like Hal Smith…

Editor’s Note: Smith enjoyed a short, but
successful big league career, as the hind
snatcher grabbed All-Star honors twice
while playing for the Cardinals primarily
in the late 1950’s.  Smith would hit .258
in 570 big league games in six seasons
with the Cards, before seeing his career
come to a close in 1961 due to heart
ailments. He would make a brief four
game, three at-bat comeback in 1965 for
the Pirates.
