1979 Home Run Leaders--1980

In 1979, Chicago’s Dave Kingman and
Milwaukee’s Gorman Thomas led their
respective leagues in home runs.
Kingman would launch moon shots,
clearing the fences 48 times, while
Thomas slugged 45 long balls as the
duo combined for 93 homers. The pair
also struck out a whopping 306 times,
both leading their respective leagues, as
Thomas lead the big leagues with 175
strikeouts, while Kingman fanned 131
times.

Somehow this all makes sense.
